Designed by Larson Incitti Architects, P.C., the Meadowood Child Development Center consists of a new one-story, 21,600 square-foot facility. In addition to classrooms for the day-to-day operations of childcare, the building includes space for parent education classes and an office for Child Find, a program that identifies and provides services to children with developmental difficulties. The project also includes landscaping and parking.
The center will benefit Aurora Public Schools (APS) families and the community by allowing for APS Early Childhood Education Program expansion and adding a much-needed preschool center in the southern part of the school district.
Construction will began early in 2010, with completion expected in January 2011. The new center will open in August 2011.
